In this 30 hour course (20 x 90 minutes), get an introduction to using role-playing games in the classroom and beyond. With a focus on social emotional learning (SEL) and project based learning (PBL) we build Dungeons and Dragons characters over 13 phases. Introduction of the Teacher-Gamer Life Skills Skillset: 36 Skills developed through Role Play and Narrative Building -Failure, Risk Assessment, Consequences, Probability -Pattern Recognition, Perspective Enhancement, Systems Thinking -Social Emotional Learning for Adaptability and Adult Readiness -Exploration of Identity, The Golden Moment, Building Confidence -Strategic Planning, Modeling Empathy, Skill Connoisseurship
