Level 2 BE Mentor Development

Empathy_DVLS farmers market_edited.jpg

In this 48 + 24 hour course (24 x 120 minute sessions + 12 x 120 minute follow up lab sessions) mentors continue in their fellowship by building their own project and working through a new project pathway of their choice (either Enterprise, Multiverse Games, Food) in Level 2 BE Mentor Development. Mentors expand their PBL and SEL offering by doing it (experiential learning through offering their own pilots) and reflecting back into the fellowship group (as lab work) about their experience with questions and meta-discussions, enriching their understanding of the 36 Life Skills and Da Vinci Life Skills assessment method with portfolios.

Teachers work together in a “Mentor Fellowship” continuing with or joining a new cohort of teaching fellows to complete this Level 2 course through three aspects of pedagogy: philosophical purpose (the why), tasks and roles (the what), and practical methodology (the how).
